Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 4, 2026

ThinksmithOS (“ThinksmithOS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how information is collected, used, and protected when you visit or use ThinksmithOS.com.

ThinksmithOS is a founder-focused platform providing practical business tools, calculators, guides, resources, roadmaps, templates, educational content, and AI-powered features designed to help first-time founders make smarter business decisions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, when it may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with ThinksmithOS.

Information You Provide Directly

You may voluntarily provide information when you:

  • Submit a contact form or other form on the website;
  • Use an interactive tool or calculator;
  • Use Founder Intelligence or another AI-powered feature; or
  • Provide information through other features we may introduce in the future.

For example, the Founder Decision Advisor may ask you to provide:

  • Your current business stage;
  • The type of decision you are considering; and
  • A description of your situation.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card information, highly sensitive personal information, confidential business secrets, or other information that you do not want processed by an external AI service through an AI-powered feature.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, ThinksmithOS and the technologies used to operate it may receive certain technical information automatically when you visit the website.

This may include:

  • IP address;
  • Browser and device information;
  • Operating system;
  • Pages visited;
  • Approximate timing of visits and interactions;
  • Referring website or page; and
  • Other technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the website.

Some of this information may be collected through cookies or similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide the tools, calculators, guides, and other features you request;
  • Generate AI-powered responses when you use an AI feature;
  • Respond to questions or requests submitted through the website;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve ThinksmithOS;
  • Understand how visitors use the website;
  • Monitor website performance and security;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, malicious activity, or security incidents;
  • Troubleshoot technical problems;
  • Maintain backups and restore website information when necessary; and
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We seek to collect and use information for legitimate and reasonably expected purposes related to operating ThinksmithOS.

3. Founder Decision Advisor and AI Processing

ThinksmithOS currently offers an AI-powered Founder Decision Advisor.

When you submit the Founder Decision Advisor, the information you enter into the Advisor is processed by our website’s server and sent to Google’s Gemini API so that an AI-generated response can be produced.

For the Founder Decision Advisor, the information sent to Gemini consists of the three answers you provide:

  1. Your business stage;
  2. Your decision type; and
  3. Your description of the situation you are facing.

The information is included in a prompt instructing the AI system to provide practical founder decision guidance.

Temporary Processing on ThinksmithOS

The AI-generated Founder Guidance is temporarily stored on the ThinksmithOS website so that it can be delivered back to your browser.

The current Founder Advisor implementation stores the generated guidance for up to 10 minutes. Once the guidance is retrieved by the Advisor, the temporary stored result is deleted.

The Founder Advisor does not include your IP address or browser user-agent in the information sent to Gemini as part of the AI prompt.

ThinksmithOS uses a hashed, temporary identifier based on technical connection information to associate the generated response with the requesting browser session. This identifier is used for the temporary retrieval process rather than as part of the information sent to Gemini.

Third-Party AI Service

The Founder Decision Advisor uses Google’s Gemini API to generate responses.

Google processes API requests according to the terms and data-use policies applicable to the Gemini API and the Google project through which ThinksmithOS accesses the service.

ThinksmithOS does not provide the Gemini API key to your browser. The API credential is maintained on the website’s server.

AI-generated guidance is provided for general informational and decision-support purposes. It is not legal, tax, medical, financial, or other regulated professional advice.

You should independently evaluate AI-generated information before acting on it and seek qualified professional advice when appropriate.

4. Forms and Submitted Information

ThinksmithOS uses online forms to allow visitors to contact us and interact with certain features.

Information voluntarily submitted through a form may be processed for the purpose for which it was submitted.

The Founder Decision Advisor currently does not retain its submitted answers as permanent WPForms entries. Its AI-processing workflow temporarily stores the generated guidance as described above.

Other forms or features may have different processing or retention practices, which will be described where appropriate.

5. Calculators, Tools, and Interactive Features

ThinksmithOS provides interactive business tools and calculators.

Information entered into a calculator may be processed to provide the requested calculation or result.

Unless a particular tool specifically states otherwise, visitors should not enter sensitive personal information into calculators or interactive tools.

As ThinksmithOS adds new tools and features, their information practices may vary depending on how the feature operates.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

ThinksmithOS uses cookies and similar technologies that may be necessary for the website to function properly, maintain security, remember certain technical information, or understand how visitors use the website.

Third-party services used by ThinksmithOS may also use cookies or similar technologies.

For example, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to help ThinksmithOS understand website traffic and usage.

You can control or restrict cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of portions of the website.

7. Google Services and Analytics

ThinksmithOS uses Google services through Google Site Kit, including:

  • Google Analytics;
  • Google Search Console; and
  • PageSpeed Insights.

Google Analytics is used to help us understand website traffic, visitor behavior, and website performance.

Google may collect and process information according to its own privacy policies and the privacy information applicable to the services being used.

8. Security

ThinksmithOS takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to help protect information handled through the website.

Our security measures include technologies and services intended to help protect the website from malicious activity, unauthorized access, automated attacks, and other security threats.

ThinksmithOS uses security and backup services, including Wordfence Security and UpdraftPlus, as part of its website security and backup practices.

However, no website or method of transmitting information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Service Providers and Third Parties

ThinksmithOS relies on certain third-party providers to operate and improve the website.

Depending on the feature being used, these providers may include services supporting:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure;
  • Website security;
  • Backups;

  • AI processing;
  • Website forms;
  • Website caching and performance;
  • Search-engine optimization; and
  • Other technical functions necessary to operate ThinksmithOS.

Third-party providers may process information on our behalf or receive information when their services are used.

ThinksmithOS does not sell personal information to third parties as a business practice.

The website may also contain links to third-party websites, services, tools, or resources. Once you leave ThinksmithOS.com and visit a third-party service, that service’s own privacy policy and terms apply.

10. Third-Party Links and Resources

ThinksmithOS provides links to external resources, including business, technology, educational, government, and other websites.

These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes.

ThinksmithOS does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external website before providing information to it.

11. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the website, providing requested services, maintaining security, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, and maintaining necessary business records.

Different types of information may have different retention periods.

The Founder Decision Advisor’s temporary AI-generated guidance is currently retained for no more than approximately 10 minutes in the temporary WordPress storage used to deliver the response, after which it is deleted when retrieved.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information, which may include the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of personal information;
  • Request information about how your information is used or shared;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing; and
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.

To make a privacy-related request, please contact ThinksmithOS using the contact information provided on our website.

We may need to verify a request before completing it.

13. Children’s Privacy

ThinksmithOS is intended for founders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and other adults interested in starting or growing businesses.

ThinksmithOS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to ThinksmithOS, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

ThinksmithOS may update or change this Privacy Policy from time to time as our website, products, tools, services, technologies, and business practices evolve, or as applicable laws and regulations change.

This Privacy Policy is therefore subject to change. New features, tools, AI-powered services, forms, resources, or other functionality may be added to ThinksmithOS in the future and may result in updates to our information practices.

When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date or Last Updated date shown on this Privacy Policy. Where appropriate, we may also provide additional notice of material changes.

Your continued use of ThinksmithOS.com after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
